Definition: A tendonitis corresponds to the inflammation of a tendon or its sheath, the tendons being sorts of “cords” made up of collagen fibers allowing the muscles to be attached to the bones. Tendonitis mainly results in pain, sometimes accompanied by swelling in the affected tendon. It is a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD).

  • Pain occurring especially with the active mobilization of the limbs and which calms down at rest 
  • Swelling at the level of the joint concerned can also be observed, but it is not systematic
