- Phase 1: Permanent shoulder pain, more intense during the night to the point of disrupting the quality of sleep
- Phase 2: Stiffness of the joint preventing many movements. As stiffness increases, pain decreases
- Phase 3: Disappearance of rigidity then reappearance of shoulder mobility
