Yanic Szoghy

Physiotherapist and Director/Owner

I have been working in the field of massage therapy for almost 30 years now. I had the privilege of teaching my art at Kiné Concept for more than 15 years and for 20 years, I have been the owner of the Kinesis Center, Center for the management of musculoskeletal tensions and sports performance.

Before concentrating my studies in masso-kinesitherapy at the Kiné Concept Institute, I did a Baccalaureate. in Sports Physiology (Sports Therapy) at Concordia University. My studies as well as my athletic background have led me to develop a particular interest in working with athletes to treat sports pain and injuries.

For several years, I have been around water sports and more particularly swimming and water polo. My swimming career spanned from 1975 until 1992 and I reached the national level in several events. My water polo career spanned from 1980 to 1992. Moreover, my passion for this game led me to become a coach. I managed the St-Lambert water-polo club from 1987 to 2005. I had the chance to work with the Quebec team and the National women's water-polo team as a coach and also as a therapist. athlete from 1995 to 1998.

My personal experience in the world of swimming and water polo has allowed me to know the biomechanics of these sports well and to understand the mechanisms of injury and the tissue reactions caused by pain.
