Kinesis Center for runners

Athletes are well supported at the Kinesis Center

We offer a variety of therapies for the treatment of acute and chronic injuries.

Regardless of your level of performance, the interventions are the same. The mechanisms of injury and the problems caused by repetitive movements are identical for all human beings.

At the start of the season, the therapist's objectives are to help the athlete recover well following his first training sessions and to maintain good flexibility to avoid injuries.

Once the season has started well, the athlete should consider getting treatment on a regular basis to prevent injuries that can occur due to repetitive movements. Too often, they wait to be seriously injured before considering coming to the clinic. When this is the case, it is sometimes too late to help the athlete restore him to 100% of his physical condition. This situation therefore forces the athlete to revise his early season objectives downwards. For an Olympian, this insinuates that he is unlikely to be ready for the trials and may risk not making the team. For the weekend athlete, who trains mostly for fun and to stay in shape, this may mean ending the season of his favorite sport.

If the athlete has waited too long and presents with any kind of injury, the team of sports therapists at the Kinesis Center is well trained to manage this type of problem. Their goal is to eliminate the pain, the mechanism of injury and the protective mechanisms to allow the athlete to return to his activity as quickly as possible. To ensure that the athlete is given a complete treatment, the therapist will prescribe a program of stretching exercises to ensure that there is no recurrence of pain.
